This M3 Alpine Edition is a very sought after example of a thrilling high-performance coupe, with a superb factory specification. Its engine is the 414bhp 4.0-litre naturally aspirated S65 V8, coupled to the seven-speed M dual-clutch transmission.

This is one of the special BMW M3 'Edition' cars, which came as standard with the lowered sport suspension setup. It was specified in the Alpine White, and the extra features of the model included 19-inch black forged wheels, bespoke interior trim, and black finishes around the body.

This particular Edition car has covered a fully documented 85000 miles having had the all important Rod bearings replaced at 84586 with the original bearings provided also making this a perfect ready to use example.

The interior is finished in black Novillo leather upholstery with white stripe detailing and stitching, which is unique to the Edition cars. The leather on the armrests between the seats and on the doors is colour-matched to the bodywork. In general the trim is in superb condition throughout. The electrically adjustable sport seats are heated, and feature memory settings for the driver's seat.

The dashboard and door panels are covered in carbon-effect textured leather trim, and there are Edition-specific chequered flag sill cover plates. Factory-fitted equipment includes climate control, cruise control, front and rear parking sensors, and the BMW Professional media system.

This being the first and last of the V8 M3's its a sure fire investment, and fast appreciating modern classic.
